    The advice that I got was it would be ok for me to keep them in a plastic tub for a few days until I was set up. I was lucky my crab didnt die in the days following after I purchased him. I immediately had to go out and spend $100 on equipment for the correct set up.

    I purchased my first Hermit crab from Fish N Feathers Bendigo and since went back to RESCUE another.

    I have since learnt that the crabs are not housed properly. They have light sn some heat but have incorrect and very shallow sub at the pet store. They were also happy to "dig up" the crabs and disturb them while they would have been submerged in the sub to de-stress or moult (crabs should never ever be dug up)

    I admit, on my part I should have researched about caring for crabs before I purchased one. I held faith in that the pet store would offer me advice on how to care for and what to do for the crab, how very wrong I was.
