  We had not wanted to be part of a gaggle of tourists in a large group and I can recommend spending a little more to have a personal guide. The one-on-one support gave us the confidence to venture out alone and to have a go with the language. Many happy moments were spent playing charades. It also gave us the luxury of seeing the real heart of the towns we visited as we could go where large groups couldn’t. The guides’ local knowledge was an integral part of the experience.

  All flights were enjoyable as we were lucky enough to have window seats on every flight. (A good reason to use a travel agent who can book ahead for you. Thanks Monica.) Flying in to Santiago after the long haul and opening up the blind to reveal the snow-capped Andes was the start of many highlights.

  Our trip was planned to coincide with holidays that our daughters (Alice, in Lima, Peru and Erin, in Curitiba, Brasil) had. We originally thought that it was the wrong time of year, but besides being hotter than home we found it to be ‘just right’ weather wise. The advice that Monica (Travelaction) and Heather (Contour Travels) gave us meant we knew exactly what to pack.

  I would recommend Ryan and his Travelaction team to anyone. I have used Travelaction many many times for travel both overseas and domestic. The tours, rooms, flights etc are always well managed and planned. I have also used Ryan to book overseas trips for my children as I can be assured the trip will be well run and reputable companies used. I can then always contact Ryan and his team if need be.

  My family and I have recently returned from an amazing holiday, which was booked with the assistance of Erin Pearce at Travelaction Bendigo. The 5 week holiday involved visits to 3 countries, 7 car hires, 6 flights and 10 places of accommodation for a party of 6 (including 2 children). As you can see, this was a complex holiday to organise. To my amazement, everything went perfectly smoothly without the slightest hint of a problem. I cannot recommend Erin & the Travelaction team highly enough. This was my first experience working with a travel agent, I will be making all further travel arrangements with Erin’s help. Thank you Erin.

  We did have one close call in Sao Paulo airport (it goes on forever…over 230 gates) after getting lost in transit due to not speaking Portuguese. We were helped by a friendly American tourist and made the connecting flight on its last call.

  Jess was fantastic, patient and extremely helpful.We had to negotiate a minefield of information to get a satisfactory outcome. The accommodation was great, and the whole party had a fabulous time.The whole trip was memorable.It was good to organise the trip in an office with one person. I didn't feel rushed , nor felt that I was on a production line. I will certainly recommend Travelaction to others.

  Both Monica and Heather had listened to our brief as to how and what we wanted. We saw and learned so much. We had a mix of accommodation but all hotels were comfortable and clean with staff that went out of their way to make our stay great.

  Our trip consisted of 14 flights and as unseasoned travellers we anticipated problems, however the longest delay we had was 45 mins in Sydney on the way out and this didn’t impact on connecting flights as Monica (Travelaction) had allowed plenty of time in the schedule. We also didn’t lose any articles of luggage.
